Before the Taiwan Industry Week trade show
The higher speed
It goes without saying that Taiwan is currently in the spotlight for well-known geopolitical reasons, which we will not elaborate on here. However, there is another area in which the Republic of China has achieved international renown: industry. In many sectors, it excels thanks to a reputation built on its globally recognized expertise. It is an incredible and remarkable story—this island at the edge of the world, whose formidable expertise in high technology, which it continues to dominate, makes the global economy so dependent on it. But Taiwan is not just a tech powerhouse; it also boasts numerous other sectors in which its companies excel, as visitors to the trade show will see Taiwan Industry week which will take place in the heart of Taichung city from October 14 to 16.

ToggleIndeed, this event will take place in one of the country's key manufacturing hubs. Taiwan Industry Week, This event will host no fewer than four trade shows targeting four different sectors, yet sharing commonalities and synergies. Many visitors are already familiar with this event, as it is none other than the THS trade show, which has evolved significantly under the management of Kaigo, who has been in charge of the event since its inception. Given its rapid growth, the organizers found it necessary to adapt, particularly in terms of exhibition space. Consequently, after taking place in Taipei until 2024, the event has decided to relocate to Taichung. However, this move is not solely due to a lack of space. It also reflects the growing and diversifying nature of the event, which has progressively expanded to include four complementary sectors over the years. These four sectors will be featured in the 2025 edition, which will be known under the overarching name of... Taiwan Industry Week, and will therefore include offerings from the following sectors:
- le Taiwan Hardware Show (THS), hardware tools and equipment trade show,
- the International Metal Technology Taiwan (IMT Taiwan),
- T-SAFE, dedicated to workplace safety,
- and the RHVAC Taiwan, The event focuses on refrigeration and HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning) systems. More than 350 exhibitors will be present, showcasing 5,000 products, and 28,000 visitors from 80 countries are expected, making this trade show a truly global hub.
This issue is indeed crucial for the management teams of these organizations, given its sensitivity in open markets and a highly competitive environment. More than ever, it is essential to position oneself as a competitive player in exports, on which Taiwan heavily relies. Given the country's size and facing international competition, it is now imperative to offer products adapted to all global markets. The government authorities have been working on this for years, in cooperation with manufacturers and industry associations, and this approach seems to be working quite well. The renowned "Made in Taiwan" label has established itself as a benchmark for manufacturing quality, while remaining price-competitive in a highly competitive environment, particularly against the aggressive pricing strategies of its neighboring country, which no one can match. Therefore, the manufacturers in these sectors, whom we will meet in Taichung, have focused on quality as their main competitive advantage. To further strengthen their position, they have quickly invested in sustainability and environmental responsibility, through significant investments in research and development. These efforts have not been in vain, as the products from the four sectors represented in Taichung can claim high quality standards. In any case, these markets are significant, as evidenced by the figures for these various sectors: for example, the Taiwanese DIY and hardware market is expected to reach USD 15.62 billion by 2025.
- The personal protective equipment (PPE) sector It is currently valued at USD 269 million and is expected to grow at an annual rate of 5.7% until 2032.
- Regarding HVAC, The market value is expected to grow from USD 760 million in 2025 to USD 1.17 billion by 2030, driven by energy efficiency standards. It goes without saying that all these sectors want to continue moving forward, particularly in markets such as Europe, the United States, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia. These are the very international goals and ambitions that Kaigo is eager to support. In addition to the expected visitors from around the world, international pavilions will also be present, showcasing their latest products and innovations. These will include pavilions from Japan, South Korea, China, and Indonesia, while exhibitors from Canada, Germany, Italy, Turkey, Vietnam, and the United States will also participate in the 2025 event.
An innovative offer focused on
Unsurprisingly, the overall product offering will reflect the increasingly demanding and technologically sophisticated requirements of the market, within a context where very strict environmental and sustainability obligations have been added to the mix. Here, for example, is a selection of the products on offer: Some exhibitors will showcase cutting-edge technical alloys, high-precision tools, sustainable production solutions (particularly from India), and innovations in machining and energy management. The ESG Pavilion will highlight efforts towards carbon neutrality (Net Zero 2050), focusing on low-emission systems, recycled materials, smart factories, and energy-efficient HVAC systems. Beyond these illustrative examples, each trade show has its own unique character: THS It will cover the entire range of hand tools, fasteners, power tools, and smart solutions.
IMT Taiwan, that of metallurgy, subcontracting, and additive manufacturing, while the... RHVAC It will focus on HVAC systems, building automation, and cold chain logistics. Finally, T-Safe This area will be dedicated to accident prevention, artificial intelligence, and compliance standards. Finally, an innovation zone will showcase live demonstrations of technologies such as green energy tools, digitalization, and connected maintenance solutions.
Not just the product
But, the living room TIWIt's not just an event dedicated to the product. Taiwan Industry Week, It is also a platform for discussion, featuring technical forums, seminars on sustainability and Industry 4.0, as well as exchanges between governments, universities, and industry representatives. It is within the context of these high-level meetings and discussions that collaborative projects, knowledge transfer, and new standards emerge. These initiatives contribute to the dynamic image that the event projects. Alexandre Keim, The young and brilliant heir to the family dynasty, who conceived this unique event with its distinctive character and identity, and who is skillfully leading its transition into the world of tomorrow, as he explains in these few words: "This trade show is not just an exhibition; it's a fertile ground where industrial vision, real innovation, and business opportunities converge. By choosing Taichung as the location, we place visitors in close proximity to manufacturing facilities. That's where opportunities truly come to life."
Suppliers within easy reach
This is indeed the main reason why people choose to relocate to Taichung. Visitors and buyers thus have the distinct advantage of being able to see their suppliers' facilities, tour their production plants, and conduct business and build relationships face-to-face, all within easy reach. The fact that these facilities are located just a few kilometers away makes this even easier. Furthermore, while Taichung is a large city, it is not a sprawling metropolis choked by traffic that makes travel difficult and frustrating. This unique combination of advantages has been a major factor in the decision to establish businesses there. It's also worth noting that the distance from the capital is not a problem for visitors arriving in Taipei. The high-speed rail service takes only about 45 minutes, with very frequent departures, and offers first-class comfort.
So this is the program that the 2025 edition of the trade show will offer. Taiwan Industry Week, Within a framework perfectly suited to the overall offering, the event now includes site visits and, most importantly, a growing international dimension, a result of the organizers' efforts and their commitment to intensifying their work in this area. Not to mention the high-level meetings and conferences, which are one of the hallmarks of an event that is clearly moving to a higher level, thus entering a new dimension.
