To this end, the organizers are launching the specific concept “Yang Selection”, a thematic space in Hall 6.1 of Zone A, designed in collaboration with Yang’s Lighting, a very popular new media founded by Mr. Yang Guo Ding. In this space, buyers will discover lighting aligned with 6 major lifestyle trends, highlighting innovative designs while leveraging e-commerce platforms and new media to increase the reach and influence of modern lighting technologies. The launch was announced at a conference organized by the GILE in collaboration with Yang’s Lighting in Guzhen, Guangdong province, nicknamed the lighting capital of China.
All this shows that on the occasion of its thirtieth anniversary, the GILE trade show continues to innovate in lighting, redefining its role in society while improving the quality of life. With technological advances led by AI, purchasing behaviors are evolving in symbiosis with e-commerce and new online media. Social media videos, live streams and AI-driven marketing have become essential tools for lighting distributors to showcase their products, stimulate creativity and increase brand visibility.
As an industry-leading platform, GILE is embracing these trends through a partnership with Mr. Yang Guo Ding, founder of Yang’s Lighting and CEO of Zhongshan Yang Lighting Technology Co Ltd. The partnership includes the launch of “Yang’s Selection,” a themed area in Hall 6.1 of Zone A. This dedicated space will focus on exploring new sourcing models and reshaping industry practices through the integration of e-commerce and modern marketing strategies.
Six lifestyle trends to discover in Hall 6.1
Hall 6.1 goes beyond the traditional trade show format by housing selected lighting fixtures from the “Yang Selection” in six themed pavilions, each representing a distinct lifestyle trend: “La Dolce Vita and Parenting-Focused,” “Affordable Luxury,” “Elegant,” “Art-Centric,” “Smart and Sustainable,” and “Innovative Optoelectronic Design.”
Dolce Vita and parenting
This pavilion offers a range of lighting products, including visual comfort lighting (ceiling lights, table lamps, floor lamps, and fans), mood lighting, and interactive lighting. Integrated into the home, these products offer soothing and comfortable lighting or dynamic and interactive environments that adapt to the needs of users. They are designed to enhance the ambiance of living spaces, creating a relaxing and welcoming environment, prioritizing comfort and functionality.
Luxurious and affordable lifestyle
Visitors will discover elegant lighting products, including crystal chandeliers, artistic lighting fixtures, and nature-inspired or sustainable designs. Mr. Yang Guo Ding also shared his views on this partnership: “This year’s edition presents an innovative approach to exhibition and marketing, integrating national new media platforms and international social networks, such as TikTok and YouTube. Through advanced AI-based multilingual translation technology, we offer exhibitors a full range of services, including short video promotion, live streaming, and business matchmaking. In Hall 6.1, we will broadcast customized content targeting key markets such as the Middle East, Southeast Asia, and South America via these new media channels. In addition, GILE 2025 will collaborate with major online sales platforms, including JD.com and Alibaba International, to help exhibitors develop their international sales through new, innovative media channels.
GILE and Yang Lighting officially launched the “Yang Selection” concept on March 5, 2025 at Huayi College in Zhongshan, Guangdong Province. The event was a resounding success, attracting more than 100 lighting companies, half of which registered to participate in Hall 6.1. This event allowed them to discover GILE and the innovative concepts that will be presented there. Guests were able to explore e-commerce opportunities, international markets and industry trends, while discovering the collaboration between GILE and Yang Lighting and its driving role in the growth and innovation of the lighting sector.
The Guangzhou International Lighting Exhibition and the Guangzhou Building Electrical Technology Exhibition will be held simultaneously. Both exhibitions are part of the program. “Light + Building Technology” of Messe Frankfurt, whose biennial event “Light + Building”, The next edition of which will be held from March 8 to 13, 2026 in Frankfurt, Germany.
